In the fall of 2012, Elios expanded their range with new Japanese neoprene from NJN (National Japan Neoprene). This high quality rubber has the best price/quality ratio and is a cross between Heiwa medium density neoprene and Yamamoto 45 . It combines the excellent elasticity, comfort and convenience of Yamamoto 45, but at the same time is less susceptible to crimping at depth and is comparable in this parameter to Heiwa neoprene. Less crimping and maintaining the original thickness means better thermal insulation when diving, which means you will be warmer. An 8mm NJN suit is comparable in warmth to 9-10mm suits made from other neoprenes.
The optimal working depth of NJN is in the region of up to 30 meters (versus 15-20m for Yamamoto 45 and 40m for Heiwa medium density), i.e. it will suit the vast majority of hunters and many freedivers.
This is a very durable rubber that will serve you for many years. At the moment (2017), this neoprene is deservedly considered one of the best on the market not only in terms of its properties, but also in terms of price/quality ratio.
